"Blossom on the tree, you know how I feel"

Pretty good! My party was lovely...it was so good to see so many people in my new place. B was a fabulous co-hostess, of course, and got to have lot's of well-wishes for her leaving, too. And my friend, SFBette, came by. I haven't seen her in 3 years, and it was so good to talk to her. I got 2 cards that were "W" themed. And P'tit Loup and her husband brought the most beautiful poppies (I don't think I've ever gotten poppies before!). And the weather couldn't have been more beautiful.

Okay, I'm on to the meme. I got tagged by Alecya, who says she wants to know what is in my head...if you figure it out from these songs, let me know!

So the meme is to list 7 songs you are really into these days.

1. Hot Topic is not Punk Rock by MC Lars
2. Tear You Apart by She Wants Revenge
3. I Think that You Look Good on the Dancefloor by the Arctic Monkeys
4. Lonely Day by System of a Down
5. King Without a Crown by Matisyahu
6. The Joker and the Thief by Wolf Mother
7. I really couldn't think of a 7th...so I'll just leave this last one for something new to come on to the list!

I'm feeling pretty content these days - mostly because I just have 2 weeks to go until I have 2 weeks off at work. Yay!

Have a fabulous Monday.

Just out of curiousity, is King without a crown a cover of the ABC song? It's a great old tune, that one!

How long now Spins?

I don't know the answer to that first question. If it is, it is probably radically different since Matisyahu characterizes his sound as Hasidic reggae rap.

How long? 12 days until I get on the plane.

My sister-in-law's cousin is one of the band members of Matisyahu, but I can't remember which one. Either the guitarist or drummer.

Glad your party was so much fun!

We got about 8 inches of snow over night ... It still feels like spring, though (the Alaska version), with more than 12 hours of daylight.

I was thinking about you this week as I reread my journal from my semester in England -- I'm so envious of your trip! I wonder if Cranks vegetarian restaurant is still in existance in London?

I love the blog title today as it is from my favorite Nina song, one of my all times top ten! So filled with emotions, just unbeatable. The party was great fun and your new home is quite "homey," cosy and light and comfortable.
