Blessed Solstice!

The Hayward Fault decided to celebrate the longest night of the year by giving a couple of jolts last night. I was up in Tilden Park with S when we felt the first one. It was literally just a jolt...I turned to S and said, "Was that an earthquake?" It's one of those that makes you wonder if something has just hit the building you are in. The other one was in the middle of the night and I was snuggled into S' warm comfy bed. Didn't feel it at all.

S whisked me off after work (okay, I whisked him off...he doesn't have a car), and we went up to the Carousel in Tilden Park where they have created a Christmas Fantasyland. Lot's of children, lot's of fun lights and cool decorations (that are all for sale - S bought one for me, I'll have to see if I can get a picture at some point because it is absolutely fabulous). We rode the carousel...I got to ride the lion (which doesn't go up and down, but it's the lion!).

We then took a walk at the Tot Farm in Tilden. There were a couple of lights around the buildings, but for the most part all the paths were unlighted. We saw several deer very close. There is a wheelchair accessible nature walk that we took...It's a sort of bridge path and so there was no getting lost. For a bit, I was worried that S was going to lead us on a trek offpath in the dark. But he was conservative and we stayed on the road/path.

Not much more to tell...it was just wonderful to spend some time in the dark with S.

Yeah, I'm with Mystic... Although, I'm not one to talk. I know I don't post photos of anyone.
