So I went home early yesterday and proceeded to feel somewhat sorry for myself. Tired and achy and uncomfortable. S came over and gave me a big wet hug mid-afternoon. He'd been riding in the rain. It was good to be resting, but I was frustrated with how long I've been ill.
Well, last night, I got the first inkling that this might not be part of the same stuff: an uncomfortable feeling in my throat. It was still there this morning when I woke, so I'm thinking I have a cold developing.
I can't tell you what a relief this is. I felt a lot worse yesterday and didn't want to be going on a downhill slide. That this is a cold coming on feels like such a wonderful thing. Although I feel bad for my poor immune system.
Really, someday I will be all better. I have faith.
