Strange Musings

So I was up late on Saturday and thinking about reincarnation and past lives and all that. For those of you who don't know, this is something I believe in; however, I cannot tell you that I was Cleopatra or some such. I just have these feelings about places and times that seem familiar.

Anyway, my revelation was that, if I had indeed lived lives before this one, there is a strong likelihood that I had children. Since there is no way of knowing who or where these children were born, or their children, there is a likelihood of anybody living now being conceived by that past me. And, since there is no way of knowing who walking around was in my ancestral line, then anyone could have been.

Suddenly, I realized what an opening for compassion this gave me. Everyone is potential family in another sense.
