I have pictures I want to show you, but I really wish that I could somehow record the scents that went along with them. In short, the weather here has been beautiful the last couple of days. Sunny and warm and the sky is blue. Things are starting to blossom and, while it disturbs my sinuses to no end, the smell is gorgeous and is one of the first memories I have of California (the flowers).
I want to take a blanket and lie in the shade in some park and read or nap or just watch the people and the clouds and the way the wind moves the limbs of the trees. I want to dance barefoot in the grass and wear a flowy summer dress. I want to hold hands with a friend and drink fruit juice and eat ripe mangoes. I want to smell the greeness and the sun.
Spring is in the air. I know it won't last (we still have winter to finish), but for a day, my favorite season is upon me.

Now, we're talking.
It's freezing here, but apart from that I want to do all that stuff, too.
Well, maybe not the dress...
It's bitterly cold here. I so enjoyed losing myself in the lovely picture you painted of your day there. Thanks for the fantasy of warmth, and the dream of scented breezes to come... :0)
That sounds so lovely. You deserve a little springtime.
