No more rest for the wicked

I'm back at work today. I still look like a chipmunk with my swollen glands and I'm still pretty tired, but at least I don't feel like I'm going to fall over from exhaustion (or at least not yet). I'm also eating a bit back to normal. I have to say that this is the most ill I think that I've ever felt, and I'm heartily happy to be on the upswing.

Here's a curious question: Why do dogs and cats seem to find it acceptable to seek affection from you when you are seated on the toilet? I know that my experience at Hill House with Shadow and LJ (one of the cats that LOVES to have its tummy rubbed) is not isolated. I used to have a cat that would follow me into the bathroom and jump onto my lap...claws + bare legs = not so fun!

I want to thank everyone for being so supportive during my being sick...it made an awful situation a little tolerable.

Even worse, why do they want affection when you're trying to show some to your spouse?

Yes, why is that? They are so finicky about their own bathroom habits but have no respect for ours!

Happy you're doing better. :0)
