"Everything's just wonderful"

So CollegeFriend brought me a gift of music. He brought me a mixed CD put together by Rough Trade record store, and a CD by Lily Allen. I haven't listened to the mixed CD, but I've listened to the Lily Allen...and she's hysterical! She has this lovely melodic voice and fun, sort of sweet music backing her, and then her lyrics are completely at odds with the sound (i.e. "Oh my gosh you must be joking me/If you think that you'll be poking me" or "Let's see how you feel in a couple of weeks/When I work my way through your mates"). It had me laughing out loud.

I've been sending CF out on his own the past couple days while I've been working. But we've been going out in the evenings to have a beer at local bars, and last night he got to meet HippyChick and BeeDragon. We sort of took over planning the rest of his vacation for him last night.

I've got tentative plans today to meet with S for lunch. He's still getting over being sick and so it may not happen. I hope it does, though, because I'd like to see him. I miss him.

Well, friends, nothing else is brewing in my brain today, so I'm off.
