4 of the days of the week are named for Norse gods: Tuesday is Tyr's Day, Wednesday is Wodens Day (suddenly that "d" makes sense, eh?), Thursday is Thor's Day, and Friday is Freyja/Freyr's Day. So Friday's are special to Freyja and Freyr...the 13th, supposedly, doubly so, although I've never been sure of the rationale of that. S has asked me to dress up in honor of Freyja today, so I'm going to wear the red dress that I wore for the Flashy's this year. I don't know what we will be doing. Let's hope that it's appropriate.
In other news, HippyChick sent me this photo of a pack of dogs subduing an alligator.
I've seen it before, but I love this particular bit of "puppy porn" (puppy pictures that make the viewer gasp, and ooo and ah) because the puppy at the head has clearly fallen asleep and the one at the tail looks like he's doing something he shouldn't.
My house is clean, my bills are written out, and Spins is most likely going to get lucky tonight. It looks to be a good Freyja Day.

fantastic! "long, cool woman in a red dress"...o.k., so that isn't really how the song goes, but i'm going to imagine it is, and imagine the beautiful Spins shakin' it on the altar for all the beloved pagans! (yes, i have been listening to "Be My Druidess" too much lately!!)
