"My mike sounds nice, check one"

I think this one will actually show up. When I would log on this weekend, all the editing tools were gone from the compose page, so I knew something was hinky from the start. But I didn't realize that it was going to eat my posts.

So let's have a bit of a recap of the weekend, shall we?

Friday night, I met up with S. We went shopping for a new watch for him and some batteries. We had dinner at a Chinese restaurant at Pacific East mall. It's a mall that has primarily Asian businesses, so the restaurants tend to have fewer items that are familiar in Chinese restaurants that cater to a significant non-Asian crowd. We had Don Que Duck (a duck soup), Lamb with ginger and green onion (OMG, so good!), and Vegetables in Shanghai Style (beans and greens...the greens were wrapped in some sort of soy wrapping, I think).

Saturday, I saw clients, took a nap, ate dinner, then headed out to a local temple where S was performing in a Purim Shpiel (musical comedy). S was Mordechai, but the story wasn't a traditional retelling of the Esther story, it was a mock-trial of Mordechai for his actions resulting in the death of 75,000 Persians. It had obvious political overtones and was both amusing and thought provoking. I had met up with SS there and we sat together.

We joined up with S in the basement of the temple after to dance and have snacks. We headed out after that for the not-so-traditional Chicken and waffles at Merritt Bakery. And red jello with fruit!

We spent the night at my house. Then in the morning, we got up and made hamentashen and eggs for breakfast. S was in a silly mood. It was good to see, though because he had been pretty reserved returning home. I'm glad that he was able to enjoy the Purim celebration.

S & SS took SS' mother to a piano concert and dinner yesterday. I got the chance to nap, take a walk, go grocery shopping and start some planning for a trip camping and hiking in Pt. Reyes next month. It was a lovely Sunday.

Not much more to say right now.

Hammer - you can feel what you like, it's okay. In this case, though, I really didn't mind. I'm not really fond of piano concerts. Besides, I got to spend the evening on Friday with S alone...no moms to disrupt any overt PDA or plans for sex. Woo-hoo!
