I marked the beginning of the war with Iraq a little differently than most. I was on my way to a trip to Scotland and got to hear about the anti-war demonstrations in SF and in Edinburgh, but for the most part I was buffered. It helped me to avoid thinking about what was happening or worry about what I could do. Today, I am reminded that it really does no good to have my head in the sand...that regardless of whether I was aware or not, a terrible thing was being enacted by my country and I have some responsibility in that.
