Hyde asked, so I'll tell...
HippyChick and BeeDragon were holding this party to celebrate the painting of their house and those who helped (me among them).
B picked me up and we went out for veggie Vietnamese food first. I adore the Golden Lotus restaurant. Then we stopped by Merritt Bakery so B could get a baked good.
Then off to HC & BD's. Their friend, KatrinaVictim, was there. She is starting school in New Orleans and had just gotten there when the evacuation order came in. It sounds like all is good with her situation and she plans to head back there later this month. She made this absolutely delicious chile rellenos casserole.
I made a decision early on to have a shot or two of tequilla and from that point on judgement went out the window. It led to drinking more tequilla and beer than I have since college and my first bong hit ever (for fact fans out there). It resulted in a fun party (thank all the gods that B was driving or I would have been sleeping on HC's couch), but this a.m. I was achy and had a headache.
One discovery I did make at the party...there is a lot of blessed noise in the kitchen of a party which covers up ill-thought out phrases shouted across the way to a friend (and despite what I told B, I won't be blogging what I said).
There was lot's of dancing, fun conversation...getting to see P'tit Loup and the Kid before next weekend's birthday down south. What there wasn't, and what I was wanting: flirtation, kisses, touches...something. And that's when I went to post, then stopped myself from posting more.
Today, I've been drinking lot's of water, eating things that are good and good for me, and sleeping as much as I possibly can...and strangely I did get a little flirting from the cashier at New World Vegetarian where I ordered lunch to go.

Tequila is bad. *nods head wisely*
I disagree. Tequila is always a good choice...at the time that is.
Flirting n' food. Good combination.
Sounds like a great time. Although I'm with Charby-- I generally steer clear of tequila!
It's been a long time since I had a tequila. I think at least 10 years. Sitting in the sun at a free music festival type thing, there we all were and this woman came through the crowd selling shots of tequilla, possibly mixed with ginger beer or something peculiar. Anyway, what with the sunshine and the music and all, we all thought a shot of tequila might be just the thing. The memory fades at this point...
