"Eh! Oh! Let's go!"

I'm watching the season premier of the Amazing Race. I have to admit straight away: I want the geek couple to win! They rock!

Thank you all for reassuring me. I need to reflect on some feedback I gave a client tonight about being so sensitive to perceived dissonance with others. Okay, I didn't really say it that way, but you get my drift. I need to be more trusting of my peeps.

Okay, so here's a random fact that I learned tonight. Did all of you know that about 5 years ago, Mattel had Barbie and Ken break-up. And then just recently they had them get back together. This is what the executives at Mattel get paid for. Why can't I get that job...I mean really, we all know that Ken is sleeping with GI Joe - well, for that matter so is Barbie!

Since I seem to be riffing on a pop culture theme tonight: I saw the ad for V for Vendetta tonight. (Yes, they dropped the "is.") I have mixed feeling about seeing it. I probably will, just to see what they did with it. I also say the ad for the latest Johnny Depp movie, Libertine. I actually saw the preview before now. I'm so excited about it. I really don't know what it's about, but it just looks scrumptious.

Okay, I'm in a bit of a silly mood today - perhaps it's because I just learned that we have to create a cheer for our mandatory rally! Woohoo!

For those of you not in the know, March is Social Worker Month. Feel free to hug your favorite social worker, repeatedly, all month (although if you are a client of your favorite social worker, this might, actually, not be terribly appropriate...so just send those hugs my way).

I watched Amazing Race tonight too, and I can't tell you how much I despise Lake and what's-her-face. But the geeks are awesome! So far there aren't as many annoying couples as usual. The one thing I've noticed lately is that a lot of reality show contestants are from the south lately, especially from Texas. Just an observation. It's been that way with Survivor too. Also, Libertine looks intriguing and having never read V is for Vendetta, the movie looks excellent. I'm sure I'd feel differently though if I had read it first.

Finally, *GIANT HUGS* for you Spins, on this your month of recognition!!!

I'm A 'Racer too! I love the geeks! Woo hoo! Although I am not fond of the blonde sisters that almost got kicked off...if I hear her say "Ohmi Gawwwwd" one more time....*sigh*

The guy and gilr couples annoy the heck out of me. They really do.

I look forward to V and Libertine as well. they look decent at worst. And who can go wrong with Johnny Depp? :)

Your post was hilarious tonight! Of course GI Joe is banging both of them, he's the most macho! (Saturday night live 1979 or so "Quien es mas macho?" episode). I do hate those mandatory meetings, rallies, etc. We have Quarterly meetings and annual planning meeting. I was supposed to come up with 7 questions to use in the group I was assigned to lead. Oh yeah, I don't have enough of 45-50 hours of work to do already, I need to get pumped up about doing more! That's going to happen! I had a Dr appointment for the first part of the all day meeting, and helped out in the afternoon and the other person designated to facilitate our group, a zealot, came up with 5 questions. Good for him! I like your "hug social workers" call. I know a lot of my community partners who work at County Social Services would run and scream if any of the client got even close to them! That is why I still like my program, we do get close and help folks, not just look for the holes in their defense mechanism. Thanks for the laughs tonight, I needed it!
