"Lucky, lucky, you're so lucky"

Thank you for the lovely affirmations, my friends. I perhaps should make something clear: I was as shocked by the image as anyone. This has been an unconscious belief I feel I've been carrying around. Something deep that I haven't been willing to confront. This is where my fears rest. But I've brought it out into the light. Now I can look at it and understand that, yes, I am a loving person, that this rottenness that I've been afraid of for so long is really unfounded. In fact, I feel a bit of relief at learning it...like I can be more myself.

I had a nice blog entry all prepared and saved on disk, but I forgot it at home today. Basically, it struck me, as it sometimes does, just how incredibly lucky I am. I listed 10 things for which I am grateful, among them were family and friends, work (even when it is stressful) which pays my bills, and work that I love to do (even if it doesn't yet pay the bills). Today I would add that living within walking distance of your work is something I'm grateful for (and a rain-free day in which to do it, too).

HippyChick and BeeDragon came over on Friday night to play Trivial Pursuit. They seemed to like my new place quite a bit, but I think that I need to get cushions for the floor because it was a bit uncomfortable after awhile. On Saturday B and I went to see the movie The New World. Go see it. It's incredibly beautifully done.

Well, that's it for now. You guys rock!

no, it's not your lack of cushions, we're just old and broken, ha ha ;) and i'm so glad you are feeling better because you ARE wonderful :)

Being one of the old and broken ones, I think that cushions are a great idea! I am also so glad that you are feeling better and agree with HC and the others that you are wonderful, and it's not just because you know EVERYTHING and kick ass at trivial pursuit either :)

I am very glad to see that your spirits are up.

Since you're into board games have you tried Balderdash? It really is lots of fun.

glad you are feeling better.

10 things you are grateful for is a great idea. And I *love* living within walking distance of places like my work, or the pub, or the chip shop...

I do love balderdash too since as a small child, I used to peruse the dictionary even before I could read, just to check out all of the pictures, the flags of all the nations, and just this massive amount of words! Yes I am a geek, and incredibly, I also did worse on the language GRE portion than in the math and logic games portion. Go figure, since I still can't add without using my fingers, and forget divisions!
