Tired

It was a very busy day at work...a very long meeting in a cramped and hot room. Then running around trying to get done what I would have had several hours to do.

Let me answer Cody's query...If I could wish for anything, nonmonetary, for myself what would it be? I would wish to be happier with myself. The good thing about this wish is that I'm actually moving there. It's a good thing.

Here's what popped into my mind today - how is it that humans survived for as long as they did, when it is quite obvious that our ancestors were prone to trying to eat just about anything. I had this thought while eating an artichoke. Sure, it's a lovely vegetable, but it's not intuitive. I doubt that someone picked up a raw one and thought, I bet if I cook this for about 40 minutes that inside these tough leaves there will be a tasty bit of plant-meat. I wonder if our ancestors prediliction for this is apparent in the way that children will stick just about anything into their mouths (then try to offer the foul bit to you once it's been chewed on).

The weekend should be lovely. I sold off the Streets tickets. There was no one for me to go to and I'm going to be going somewhere with SlowTalker. I'm still going to the big, many-bands, concert on Saturday. I can hardly believe how long it lasts. I won't last that long, but I'll be able to see a few bands I like (Hard-Fi, She Wants Revenge & Wolfmother). And I'll be moving in to the Retreat for the week to take care of ShortKitty. More opportunities for free laundry!

Well, I'm off to pay bills and watch a movie. If you don't hear from me for a few days, it's because I'm busy, busy!

You know what I love about your anwser Spins? Your asking to be happy with what you have, instead of asking for something to make you happy. Nicely done, now get some sleep.

Have a great weekend!

That question about how people discovered edible things has occasionally made me stop to ponder too. I guess I may never know how they figured things out, but I'm grateful they did! *G*

Have a great weekend. :0)

No wonder I don't like artichokes.

Have a great weekend, too, Spin!
