Dr. Phil

If you want to really mess with your therapist and watch them struggle with their countertransference feelings, just mention the recent Dr. Phil episode that you watched - or better yet, talk about how much you admire the work he's doing.

On a related note, despite the concerted use of Airborn and Zicam, I have a cold. People keep asking me if this stuff works, and I just don't know...the only way I'd really know is if I got the same cold (and knew it was the same cold) and didn't use it to see the difference in symptom development, etc. Okay, I've clearly been reading too much about research methodology in this book I'm into.

Sadly, this means that I won't get to spend time with S. I've also cancelled going to a shower for Executive Director (I'm going to have to find a different name for her because in about 3 weeks, she is ending her job as Executive Director). I don't want her getting sick right before the little one is born. I am hoping that I can go to see SS perform tonight. She is going to be performing her first aerial dance! I'm really excited to see it.

Okay, I'm going to take a shower, get dressed, and go to see some clients. I hope no one mentions Dr. Phil.

Imagining your therapist squirming... *G*

The aerial show sounds amazing. I hope you're feeling better and are able to go!

I've never watched Dr. Phil.

My comment is about getting colds. I went to my allergist this week and he said the most common ways folks pick up a cold are: the little pen you use to sign a credit card receit or to punch in you number on an atm machine and the push bar on a grocery shopping cart. So beware out there, wash your hands a lot, use that purel stuff, and carry your own pens! (which is easy for me as I am a pen freak!) I also resort to echinacea drops myself and it seems to take care of many a budding cold.
