First day of work of the new year. Ick! I am feeling a bit clausterphobic today. I'm pretty sure it's a combination of PMS and the first day back at work after a time away. Still it's not fun today.
I had a lovely New Year's eve. SS had invited me to her home for dinner and to see in the new year. A friend of her's joined us...he was very talkative. It was a nice way to spend the night. Normally, I avoid going anywhere because I don't like to drive and I don't love the crowds on that night, so this was a nice compromise...and it helped me feel a little that S was present.
Yesterday, I went to see HippyChick and BeeDragon and give them their gift. It's been forever since we've been able to get together, and I miss them. Their kitty, Nikkyo, is growing by leaps and bounds and is still very much a kitten.
P'tit Loup drove her daughter, the Kid, up to the bay area last night and I met up with them for dinner. PL looks fabulous and has so many wonderful things happening in her life, it seems. She seems so happy. The Kid is busy and enjoying grad school...it seems all good for her.
And that was all I did yesterday (well, except for laundry and dishes). It was luxurious.

It was truly great to start the new year by seeing you! You also look great and happy, and I enjoyed catching up on our lives. Time flies and it's great to enjoy it and take time for those who are dear to us. You are certainly one of those on my list. Big hugs.
