Lies are more amusing

I think I've figured out the problem with my pictures from my camera...the files are too big and it takes forever to upload them. Does anyone have any suggestions about this?

Oh! And I finished another book. Yes, I know I've been reading very slowly lately. Having a relationship really puts a crimp in your reading...

I read Al Franken's first book (Lies, and the Lying Liars who tell them), long after it was released. I often delay the pain of such books, even though I know that I want to read them. With the first book it was much ado about nothing. I breezed through it.

This second book...well, let's just say that the receipt that I've used for it's bookmark is more than a year old.

I love Franken's writing style and his sarcasm. I have a basic trust that what he is saying is true. But the subject matter is so difficult sometimes...probably because I am living the political nightmare...that I really was only able to read the book in fits and starts.

Still, I learned a lot that I didn't know, a lot that I did in more detail, and much that I hope to (or have already) forget in the not-too-distant future.

If you are into political commentary of the liberal variety, this is a good choice from witty author (who may be the next democratic senator from the great state of Minnesota). But, by all means, buy it used on Amazon.

Hey spins, sorry blogger does not like large photos. You can try to save a resized version of the photo with a different title by using just about any photo program under their save options. One option should be to "save as web ready" or something like that. I think it would be great to have Al Frankin in our government. In Minnesota, no less. You must feel very proud. I know I would. the new decade of Al, Al Frankin!

Spins, I use Picasa (free from Google) to organize my pictures, since it is a Google program, it has a "Blog this" button to insert one or many pictures into Blogger. It is quite simply the easiest thing in the world, and since it's a Google program, there is no cost involved. Good Luck

You can also compress your photos if you want. I downloaded a jpeg compressor for a while back. (http://winsoftmagic.com/)
