Shuffle-a-thon

I signed up for Swiss Toni's CD swap again this year. This is inherently a challenge to me for 2 reasons. 1) I don't have a CD burner, so I have to figure out a way to borrow one. 2) I don't have an Ipod or other MP3 thingy, so don't have any fun music service to log onto. This leaves me with older CDs from which to choose before they started scrambling them when they are copied.

Still, last night at HippyChick's, I finished the CD. I'd already set the list and listened to how it would be arranged. It's fascinating the way that it turned out. I wasn't planning the progression that happened, I just picked the artists I wanted to choose from them started pulling songs from them. I came up with a storyline, of sorts. I'm quite proud of how it worked.

I'll tell more once the CD has been received, as I wouldn't want to spoil the secret in any way, although the receiver is not someone who frequents my blog either. Still...

In a last note, I've found a couple of fiction books recently that have intrigued me. This has been increasingly a problem since I've sort of fallen off the romance wagon. It was a lovely surprise to be drawn into a book that I'd randomly pulled off the library shelf last week. And this week? It's a medieval mystery...a little unreal, but still fascinating.

damn, so I'm not getting your cd, either.
A process of elimination has struck a couple of possible senders off my list.
Hmm. The mystery continues...
