I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

So we are off tomorrow for Christmas in Yosemite.

We will be staying at the Wawona on Friday night, and again on Tuesday night. In between, we will be at the majestic Ahwahnee.

There will be snow-shoeing, swimming in the heated pool, exploring of the Yosemite Valley by moonlight, sitting by the fireplace, signing & listening to music. And on Christmas eve, we attend Bracebridge Dinner. It's quite a do. S has bought a tuxedo, and I've got a fabulous outfit complete with shoes. I don't know what SS has up her sleeve, but she always has fabulous clothes.

As of last night, I now know how to put on tire chain cables to drive through the snow (no one ever used these in Minnesota, but there really aren't mountains in Minnesota, either). I'm mostly packed and I just have to run a few errands and do a few things to be absolutely set.

The one snafu in everything...my mother sent off my holiday package via FedEx and it's expected to arrive tomorrow, after I leave. I called them to put a hold on the package and the woman said that I could pick up the package in an office in MN. I corrected her that I was in CA. She couldn't tell me where to pick it up here. So I hope that it does get held, and that it's not being held in a secret location that I will need to treasure hunt for when I return.

I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday weekend. Be safe and have fun.
