Strangeness

I had a dream last night that involved Swiss Toni and Lord Bargain. LB was getting married to a friend of mine who was very pregnant...and it was a polygamous marriage, she was also marrying another man. But I got to get up and tell the tale of how I knew LB and what a wonderful man he was. In the back of my mind, I knew that he was married already, but that didn't matter in the dream. ST was there as best man.

Then a very angry old woman crashed the wedding and sent my friend scurrying off to hide away in a mystical world. I followed behind and had to negotiate the price for entrance, then make it through a world that was bizarre and challenging. It worked and I was reunited with my friend who'd just given birth to a daughter.

It's got way too many layers to uncover in my sleepy brain this morning. So I'm not going to try. It's just an interesting dream.

During the past month or so, S has been planning things for the weekend that mostly don't involve SS & I spending a lot of time together. Either, we don't even see each other during the weekend or we spend a morning or afternoon all together. This is markedly different than it has been in the past.

I spent most of January in a hiatus from contacting SS, but last week I wanted to drop her a note to just check-in. So I did. It was short and had a few questions. I basically was leaving it up to her to respond as she liked.

When I saw her on Sunday, she wasn't feeling well. She also was pretty down. I asked how she was and she responded that she's in a "strange mood" and needs space. She let me know that she had responded to my e-mail. We engaged in small talk during the time we were together on Sunday, and at one point, I asked if she was interested in attending Pantheacon.

This morning I received an e-mail I'd been CC'd on from her to S. She told him (and me, indirectly) that she did not plan to attend Pantheacon. It was very strange, and I'm getting the feeling again that there is something that is being left unsaid. Blech, and blech and blech. Sometimes this poly thing is not all it's cracked up to be.

Was it a nice wedding? Cake, and flowers and all...?

We didn't get to the cake, but it was a very cool church.

It was a church? LB got married in a church? To your friend who was pregnant? Was the very angry lady who crashed the wedding named Suburbanhen?

Man our brains are loopy!
