Aloha!

I have just a moment...I'm out having a day with my mom. We went to Iolani Palace this morning and now are going shopping at Ala Moana shopping center.

I think I've definitely chosen the right path in staying on the North Shore. It's so beautiful and wonderfully laid back up there. I've been asked a couple of times if I live there, so I'm blending in.

The wedding was beautiful and very intimate. I got to be a cultural translator during the reception as we were served Ahi Sashimi for the first course, complete with wasabi and pickled ginger. I am really surprised at how little my family knows about different food cultures.

I am going to spend the day just chillin' out on the North Shore tomorrow. I'll wander Haleiwa, then visit the Waimea Valley, the plunk myself on the beach. Aaaaah!
