"But everybody has a face that they hold inside"

So I have two recommendations...The first is Pretty Persuasion. It's a comedy/not-comedy that's dark. Most of it was funny dark, but then the end was just dark. Still it was fascinating/disturbing.

The second I'm not sure I should be recommending yet because I'm only about a third of the way through it...It's a book called American Gods by Neil Gaiman. It's also fascinating...it's a bit urban fantasy and a bit pop-theology. I like it.

I went to HippyChick and BeeDragon's for the movie tonight. Good to see them and their kitties.

Now on to the main feature...Alecya posted a meme on her page and I decided to answer it here. I haven't done one in awhile, but tonight seemed a good night to do it.

1. A lyric from a song that best describes you and your personality.
I stood without clothes/danced in the sand/I was aching with freedom/kissing the damned/I said remember this is how it should be.

2. Have you ever been in love? How did you know?
Yes. I can't give any clear answer to the second question. I suppose I agree with Aleycia, though, that when you really love someone, you always carry love for them, even if the intensity of it fades.

3. Have you ever loved someone or something that would/could not love you back? How did you cope with it?
Yes. There's an Indigo Girls song (yes, another one) that describes unrequited love so powerfully...Ghost (Rites of Passage). One of the lines says: At this point you rush right through me and I start to drown. It's like being in a rushing river - you point your feet downstream, protect your head and tried to ride the current. If you are lucky and don't get twisted into thinking (too much) that it's something that it's not, then you'll come out okay - with a great story to tell. And, yes, you will always carry love for them.

4. What is the feeling/emotion you most dread or dislike having? Do you have it often?
Fear. Lately, I've been having it a lot. Ordinarily, it's an occassional thing.

5. If there was one moment in your life you could re-do, what would it be? Assume your life would still turn out the way it has.
I would have gone in to sit with Micheal while he was dying, even though I was afraid for him and not ready to deal with his death. I've always felt like I lost an opportunity by not doing so. It wouldn't have stopped his dying, but it would have given me some peace.

That's all for now. It's raining tonight. Good Saturday!

Damn, I just lost a good comment. I'm too frustrated to start over! Wah!

I liked American Gods too!

Good Saturday, Spins. Take the weekend one moment at a time (that's what I'm gonna do, so far good are beating out bad 3-1, but it's early yet).

I love the song Ghost. It is one of my favorite songs by them. I find myself listening to it when I am depressed or lonely.

I was happy to read your answers, thank you for doing them.
