"Who let the dogs out?"

I forgot to wish you all a Happy New Year yesterday. Sunday was Chinese New Year...it's the year of the Dog - my birth year was also the year of the Dog, so hopefully this bodes well for me. I take it as something of good omen that I was cleaning out the old house on the day when the new is supposed to be beginning.

I am exhausted. Woke up this a.m. not wanting to get out of bed and aching worse than yesterday, especially my hands and arms. The shower helped a lot, but signing my name is not so fun today (and I sign my name a lot in my work!).

To answer M. le Flash's question of the previous post: I like the Hard Fi song they've been playing (Cash Machine). It's bouncy and catchy. The Editor's song doesn't stick in my head as well. It may grow on me, but it strikes me as similar to other things that are playing lately.

I cooked at home last night! I haven't done that in a long time. (Just and salad and butternut squash, but, hey, it was nummy!) It felt good. It felt like I was taking care of myself. Today coming in to work I realized that I wasn't feeling any anxiety about being here. I can't convey to you what a relief that is.

Nothing more to say today. Have a happy Tuesday!

Apparently China experiences an increase in the birthrate during the Year of the Dog and the Year of the Dragon, and a decrease during the Year of the Monkey. Everyone wants their child to be a dog or a dragon, and some will actually wait for the appropriate year.

My friend at work is a Dog, and she says Dog years are VERY good for Dogs. Good news for you, Spin!

I don't know if getting a dog is auspicious this year. I'm one of those folks that thinks that any year is a good year to get a dog.

The Kid was born on the year of the dog too. I'll have to let her know that this is an auspicious year for her!

Great news about the no anxiety!

There's an Editors song on your CD [which I mailed today, btw] which one are you listening to there?
