Story Time

Well, goodness, look at all my visitors! Hi everyone!

Yesterday, I had planned to blog but, well, I'm mulling things in my head that I want to share and that I don't want to share at the same time. There's a lot going on right now on a lot of fronts and it's feeling a bit big.

But time for that at a later date. Let me share the continuing adventures of myself and SlowTalker. We've spent a lot of time together recently...I think the separation of my illness really left us both missing the other. Sunday night, we went to see a play at an Amphitheater in one of the local parks. It's built on a hill and has this amazing series of fountains and pools. When you are up at the top, the view is phenomenal. There were carvings on the walls of the amphitheater which were very typical of the '30s - the sort of blocky, fleshy people a la Diego Rivera. Very cool. The play/show was Ragtime. I've seen it before, but it was still a great production.

Last night, we went to the local library...which I really need to visit to check out some books...to have storytime with the kids. SlowTalker sits on the counter in the back and so that's where we were, like a couple of middle schoolers, swinging our legs! The storyteller was wonderful. He had a couple of puppets that he used which each had their own personality. S had me rolling with his own story character afterwards. I learned a lot about him last night by listening to him share his story.

I got to work early today, so I can leave a little early. I've signed up for a lap dancing class this evening, and I need to get up to Hill House to walk the dog before going out for the evening. I hope it's fun...

I need to get myself to the local library. I love the children's section. All the colorfull books and the kids who are so happy to learn to read and enjoy the stories. I need a little of that yearning to learn new things back in my life.

The Amphitheater sounds magnificent!

Have fun at the lap dancing class! I took a strip-aerobics class that was sort of a let down, but I think that was because of the teacher.

It all sounds like lots of fun. I just love amphitheaters like that with unusual looks and I know a lot of california's older achitecture has great pieces. I want a lap dance that sounds like so much fun. Slow Talker has a way of finding lots of fun stuff to do too. I'm really glad you are finding joy in your life. You really deserve it.
