"Breathe in, breathe out..."

So I was telling S about my dry sinuses, and after sympathizing, he asked if I'd tried various things. Finally, he said, "Have you tried lotion?" I don't know why this never occurred to me, but after just one application the inside of my nose is less tender and dry. Yay!

Maybe they will heal enough soon that I can go back to using my Flonase.

And, yes, I did spend the night with S. It was so good to see him and be with him. We talked about his being away and things that I can do to help me stay feeling connected to him (because I start to miss him very quickly). I think that this trip away will be less difficult than when he was away during the summer. I feel more sure of myself with him and comfortable with our relationship. Still, it will be over 3 weeks. ACK!

SS came over this a.m. to spend the middle of the day with S and brought me a gift (as we had decided to exchange gifts)! It was in a shiny box and had an awesome card. She had made me a goddess doll of Freyja and sewn the rune symbol from my tattoo onto the doll. It is absolutely beautiful. I also got a lovely calendar/journal. I think I'm going to use this as a register of important dates for me, since I suck at birthdays, etc.

I haven't yet made my gift for her. I'm going to try to do that this afternoon. I want to either give her one of my paintings or do a new one for her. I'm also going to give her some of my mom's pickles. Hopefully, she will enjoy them.

I'm meeting up with them later this afternoon. I have no idea what the adventure for the evening is but it should be fun!

Have fun, and if I don't get another chance, Happy New Year.

What thoughtful presents, both the ones she gave to you and the ones you plan to give to her!

What sort of lotion did you use? I've never thought of that before either...

Wow what a nice gift to receive! There is no chance she won't like your mom's pickles. Have a great evening and talk to you tamari!

Just hearing the mention of your mom's pickles has me salivating! Sounds like such lovely gifts you exchanged with each others. That is the true spirit of giving.
