Of Tiggers and bigwheels

Yesterday was absolutely lovely. I've had good birthday celebrations before, but it's been a long time since I've had one that I was so happy for the whole day.

I'd done a lot of prep, so there really wasn't a lot to do yesterday. I had a chance in the morning to sit in my very clean house and read. It was lovely.

People started to arrive at about 1 p.m. HippyChick & BeeDragon being the first to arrive with another friend who I haven't yet named in tow. It was an unequivocal success, I felt. A quiet-ish party with good food and good people. I really do love my friends.

S showed up, then left again, having forgotten something at home. When he got back, we lit up and ate the absolutely beautiful cake that SS had brought over that morning. I have a picture but didn't get a chance to download it last night. I'll try for tonight. Then I opened S' gift to me. It was a picture of Tigger, only with my eyes and hair photoshopped in.

We got to play pin the tail on the Tigger, at the end. The heart on the Tigger is what S had brought to put on it for himself. He's such a sweetheart!

S & I & SFBette, headed to BART to head to the city. SFBette was heading home to make a pot roast for Easter. S & I were headed to the 7th Annual Bigwheel Race down Lombard Street. It was a good crowd and fun to watch. I'll download the pics of that tonight for tomorrow's blog.

We walked from there to Fisherman's Wharf to view the tourists and the sea lions. Then caught the ferry from there back to Oakland. We headed to my place for a quiet dinner, then went to bed almost immediately.
