They call them sticky buns. I had one on Tuesday at work. It was good enough to send me to the bakery for another the next day...and I discovered the secret to their crack: it must be eaten hot! Sort of like Krispy Kremes. I had to go back again this morning.
It's been an overwhelming week. A bit of PMS combined with a co-worker on vacation and being in limbo regarding my own vacation plans. It's been making me a bit crazy. But my period starts today, this is my last day at work this week, and S finally decided we should scrap the big trip and send me off to the island on my own.
I promptly booked my flight and have been cancelling the things that I won't be taking advantage of. I will still be staying up on the North Shore just because that's the way I roll (OMG, did I really just use that phrase!). Last night, I started trolling my Oahu books for things I will enjoy doing there that S wouldn't be into (mostly this has to do with window shopping or going to museums or on a bus tour...these things would give him hives on a vacation).
The one downer for today is that I have a bit of a scratchy throat. With S sick, I'm doing my best to not catch what he got. I'm working under the assumption that what I'm experiencing is what I usually experience at the beginning of my period. I often feel like I'm coming down with something the day it starts (or just before). Keep your fingers crossed.

Fingers are crossed. And though I'm sure you'll miss S during your trip, you're going to be able to experience many things that you would have missed out on otherwise.
And what a Welcome Home I'm sure you'll get afterwards! :0)
